"A private dinner on the beach, a violinist, and a ring I still can't stop staring at."
Rodrigo knew Valentina had dreamed of a candlelit dinner on the beach since the first trip they took together to Punta Cana three years ago. He filed that detail away and waited for exactly the right moment.
We set up a private table directly on the sand, twenty meters from the waterline, dressed with white linen, garden roses, and a custom menu printed with their initials. A violinist played softly from a respectful distance throughout the meal.
Rodrigo waited until the dessert course. He had the ring hidden inside a small jewelry box placed beneath a silver cloche. When the waiter lifted it at the table, Valentina laughed — then immediately started crying.
"She always says she's not a crier," Rodrigo told us after. "She was absolutely a crier."
